The Honeymoon Villa is part of a conceptual design proposal for a rental villa compound within a renewable energy farm located in the municipality of Culebra, Puerto Rico. Each compound includes a manor house, four villas for families, and two villas for honeymooners. To achieve a tropical modern design, the architectural proposal seeks to combine vernacular and contemporary styles. The design utilizes conventional materials such as renewable wood, local flagstone, metal roofs, and concrete to create a warm sustainable palette to contrast with the building's style. Each villa takes advantage of the ocean views offering the users the space to connect with the natural environment. These proposed structures adapt to the local topographic conditions and consider a passive design approach to control radiant heat and promote cross ventilation. The villas’ design include low impact design strategies to reduce water runoffs, harvest rainwater and reduce electric and water consumption.

The Honeymoon Villa, consists of two distinctive pavilions that house a kitchen/living area and the sleeping quarters, respectively. Both modules sit atop a platform that is separated by a shaded terrace. This division allows further privacy for the dormitory and allows the gentle breezes to sweep through and cool the villa. The design uses two roofing systems to further distinguish the volumes: a double roof for the public functions and a vegetative roof for the rooms
